Yes, we are going back to China to adopt another little girl! And yes, I know I am insane and yes, I know how old I will be when this child is grown. Math isn't my forte but I've got the age thing figured out. Now that we have that out of the way, I'll finish introducing the next little T. She's currently 18 months old and is living in foster care in Henan, China. We think she must be beautiful though all we can see in her pictures is a tiny face amid 40 pounds of winter clothing. The pictures we have are from nearly a year ago so I'm sure she has changed since then. She is considered hard to place due to her special need. I'm not going to discuss it in a public forum but suffice it to say, we think she is perfect just the way God made her. We just hope we will be good enough to be her parents.
For those of you who may have stumbled across this blog through some cosmic coincidence, in addition to 3 grown children, we are already parents to two beautiful daughters from China. Her big sisters are very excited about their new mei-mei. It will be at least 6 months before we can bring her home so they will have plenty of time to hone their big sister skills. I wish we didn't have to tell them until closer to time but it is not an easy secret to keep. My girls are acutely aware of everything I do and notice every nuance. I think it might even be impossible to hide anything from them anyway.
We've passed the home study and most of the paperwork is done. Now we must get through USCIS (immigration) before we can send our dossier to China. We need a few more pictures with both us in them (rare as hen's teeth) and a lot more money. Oh yeah, that math thing again. No, we don't really have lots and lots of money so we're working on fundraising. Yea! Let's hear it from the audience, "Another Fundraiser!" I'm going to have a big yard sale so if you have anything you want to contribute to the cause (look at that sweet face), I will be glad to pick-up. I'm doing a Tupperware fundraiser also, so if you need some good quality plastic stuff, I'm your person. Comment and I'll get the book to you. But wait, there's more. If you don't need plastic or have junk, I've set up a paypal account for donations. Hopefully, some of you who have stumbled across this blog are extremely wealthy and generous.
